A Very English Spring

Tank looks great ian. Kudos to you. :good: I cant seem to find wood like yours in the US ;) , which I dont quite understand.

thank you very much guys and girls (of course).

I have decided to wait at least 2 weeks until i post any more pics, then it should have better growth and i'm sure people get bored of the same old pics.

Looking great dude, I do the same mate, keep updating even tho not much to report on mine and makes me wonder if ppl get bored lol.

Seriously thinking of getting my hands on one of those Apogoneton Reds and putting it in the rear left behind the wood in the Cuban Stream scape, love the look of them, dunno if it will draw the eye towards the focal point in the scape or create to many?

Steve they are a stunning looking plant, mine is a shade of purple at the moment. I went to see Mark Evans this morning and his is now settles and a really nice red colour. I tell thee what, i shall get another/better pic of mine tomorrow (i know i said 2 weeks), for you and you'll see how good they look. I reckon a bit of colour would look good in your scape, just behind the rocks :good:

Well I'm thinking more towards the filter behind the wood, kind between the the fern and end of the tank, there's a load of Staurogyne growing well back there that I might move towards the middle and put the Apogoneton in it's place as it's a tall grower.

this is for Steve...(hope everything went well today BTW)

This is the Aponogeton a 2 weeks on. This is the colour of the new leaves...

Very nice i tried to grow some of this plant and it melted :(

Had a bit of a nightmare...over the last couple of weeks i have been gradually swapping my water over to RO water. 1, because my water is rock hard and i want to have a go at keeping some soft water fish and 2 i was just curious whether i would get any different plant behaviour and my water really is full of rubbish. At the weekend i was doing a water change, and i managed to drop a bucket of water 'in' the tank whilst it was half full. It knocked the hardscape all over, and i have really struggled to get it back to how it was. The plants are all intact and in the same place though lol! There has also been a massive melt from the crypt mi oya, and because there is a fair few crypts in the tank, i have been trimming daily, to try and stop and small ammonia spikes. Its been hard work over the last few weeks, i'm glad i have been off work!

The crypts seem to be coming back after the melt...

and a full tank shot, about ready for a trim!

thanks L plates!

The water is now down from a GH of 24 to 12, so i'm gonna give it another week and have a look at some gold rams. :good:

that wood looks amazing, something a little alien about it but in a good way. i'd really love to get my plants looking more healthy, gives us plant noobs something to aim for :)

Looking good as always, quite like the lushness :)

Gold rams ay? Really like them. You going for a pair?
