In one way, YES! In another I don't envy her as she had to unpack 3 big boxes of betta's on Friday to get them all settled into small holding tanks so they were ready for their photo spree yesterday and so on

Not sure how many exactly but she has around about 300 females just from this shipment plus however many males(over 50 I think) so yeah..... Lol.

Bet they'd be doing her head in!

Why can't I live near you and get a nice Betta?

Lol, you can have them anywhere in the UK :) The Transhipper get's them imported and then when you buy one she sends it out to you :)

Can I ask where you got you "Levington Organic Blend Topsoil" and also how much it cost? I'm looking for soil when I redo my tank and I like the look of yours so I'll go the same route :D

I got it off eBay for about £13 :)

Most recent pictures and proof of the little bit of life I have in my tank. Unfortunately my male betta won't be arriving till this week now as there were problems with delivery last Thursday -_-

I am having a problem with my Chaetostome formosae though :/ He's suddenly stopped eating again and as a result he's getting skinny. He outright refuses veg(I leave all food I put in for him in the tank overnight as he's nocturnal usually) and he's now decided he doesn't like the Hikari Algae Wafers I feed him. He won't eat anything now. I've ordered some Hikari Sinking Wafers to see if a different smell/taste will attract him but not holding out hope.

With your pleco, try getting a smooth rock (or something similar) and putting it in a clear bowl with some rotting fish food and letting it sit outside in the sun. Hopefully, this will encourage some algae growth that he will hopefully eat

Your tank is looking really good! I still can't get over your wood

That's a shame about your Betta. But hey, waiting makes it all the more worthwhile

EDIT-fixing up spelling mistake.

I've tried the rock trick :( Untouched apart from snail trails through it :/

Haha! Thanks :) I'm happy with the growth in the tank and the wood is pretty nice

I know, I know lol. Just impatient to get my boy and some life you can actually see swimming around in the tank haha.

:/ that's a shame. Might just have to make sure he has access to food and he'll hopefully eat when he wants to.

 I can imagine! I'm sure he'll be worth the wait!

I'm going to keep trying, I always make sure he has access to food but can't live rocks covered in algae in the tank took long as don't want the algae to coat the tank too if he's not going to eat it :/
