70L Low-Tech Set Up

Anubias looks great, shame the Crypt is hidden though?

The Crypts haven't really done much for some reason, they just don't seem to grow up, only out, I should probably buy some more.

I'll add more photos at the weekend when I have a little more time.

Aren't these crypts Wendtti red? In that case, it would be better to place them more in front, as they won't get much larger than they are now...

Believe they are Bullosa as stated above. SBS tank is open all the way around so the placing shouldn't really be an issue as they will get just as much light and nutrients at the back as they would at the front.

Ok. I didn't say it because of light or nutrients, but more for visibility. Wendttis normally are around the size that you have them in, so they would always be hidden behind your wood with anubias. Bulosa though is also classified as a foreground plant, so maybe it is worthwhile placing it in front of your anubias...

Bullosa grows taller than wendtii. Also as you will notice the crypt is taller than anubias, so would be a little daft to put it in front of it?

Yes, you are right Minnt; I just had a closer look. And putting it more to the right won't help either as it will ruin the island scape. Actually,I like it that the scape is a triangle in height as well (going down from left to right).

Maybe just take it out and put it into another tank?

Here we are ladies and gents, a little maintenance this afternoon bar cleaning the glass

Rescape is in the planning stages, probably a purely black water set up with very few plants.

What happened to the LED build?

Thanks, the LED rig is just too powerful but it was a good learning tool.
