70L Low-Tech Set Up

Thanks Ian, I got in looked into the tank and was like holy mother of God, what the hell is that, not sure how it found its way into the tank, must have been thirsty or something.

Here way go, an image, it gives you a general feel for what I'm trying to achieve, the gaps on the left and right will be filled in with crypts:

that for me looks like the scape for me!

It now looks more NA than previous, i love it more like this.

Cheers Ian, I'm tempted to buy a set of Lily Pipes and an in-line heater to save me putting tall plants in and to improve aesthetics, I just need the C.bullosa behind the Microsorum to grow a little more so it pokes out at the top.

Getting in on this border thing that seems popular at the moment, just a paint job at the moment so a little crude:

I might have a go on photoshop at College tomorrow to see if there are any borders on there.
As you can see this female Gourami is full of eggs!...or fat.
I should of altered the field depth to get more of the image in focus though.

I added some of the Christmas Moss that Ian sent me a few months ago, I tried to take an image from an appropriate height this time which resulted in removing the mattress from my bed so I could get low enough!

#41####, editing in paint screwed with the image quality.

Like it :)

(ps, photoshop is the way to go!)

Thank you both.

3 Honey Gourami's, a school of 18 Ember Tetra's, well I say school, they just seem to do their own thing now-a-days  and 5 Panda Corydora's, there's a load of Cherry Shrimp in there too, they've just started to reproduce. I need to sort out my snail problem too, my sister poured way too much food in a week ago and it's still not died down, another few weeks should see them die off though.

It always amazes me... 18 Ember Tetra's and in the picture you can hardly see any fish. Like with Rorie's Barbs, Mattlee's Ornatum tank.

Stocking sounds great mate, apart from the snails of course

I noticed a few in mine the other week and i squashed em... now i am beginning to think they were baby apple snails! D'oh!!!

Your Java fern looks so lush and healthy, hope I can get my 'narrow' back to that state after it's period of neglect...

Beautiful java fern. The tank looks different from when I saw it last.

Thanks Liz, Mint and Million :)

Apologies for the recent lack of activity generally, busy few weeks, Uni application this, personal statement that :shout:

I shall update either tomorrow or Sunday evening.

Cheers buddy, apologies for the non-existent promised update, I should get it up tonight, not much has changed really, looking to rescape in the new year, probably the first time without plants too, I might try a black water set up with predominantly wood, I guess I can always fit some plants into the plans though.
