cheers guys!
He is about 14 inch disc. Makes the female look small, was a bit worried as ideally the male should be smaller than the female. Will see how it goes! The guy said he can get hold of other cb marale females so in due course might get a female to match. The guy had some really nice rays, this male ate all the prawns already? Didnt think it would eat until it settled but i put food in for the other fish and he scoffed the lot! Ha good sign i suppose! Will try and get some better pictures when i can. Thanks for the comments.

Looking excellent Dave. Did you decide to leave those Tigers I was reading about a few pages back? I would have took some off your hands. I am looking to start a Tiger collection now myself in my 6x2x2 ready for the big upgrade next year. The only place I ever see selling them is Pier though an its a pain to get to for me.

Thanks T1, I will go an have a scout now, didn't even think of them, bought there before, excellent services.

Excellent shout, just ordered a Thin bar and I think a Lima Shovelnose is gonna jump in for the ride

Been after a Lima for over a year but nowhere gets them in so this seemed the perfect opportunity. Looking to get a collection of Tigers, all different kinds.

i have 2 thin bars, nice fish, mine are a bit shy still, only 4" eat lots though, love lance fish and prawns! they follow the other two bigger dats around! got offered a pulcher on the weekend, but its in london, 14" for £500, just one of those and a campbelli to have a complete collection of dats! just need £500 now haha

Dave, The rays are still alive and kicking , see what you mean about they'll come out more :) Liking the new ray you have looks good:)

oh you back then ben!!
hope they are well, they munching away on bloodworm happily enough when you feed them? tank got a bit boring without them in there but is filled again now with these two rays! the new male marble just dwarfs everything, he said he bought it at around 6" wild caught, and had it 2 years so estimate its about 2.5 years old and he reckans its full grown at the 14" it is. if it does stay at 14" then no need to worry about re-homing, the female motoro should get a lot bigger then him so might just look out for a female clear base marbled motoro to go with this guy and make some nice babies!
hope the holiday was good and hope the rays are doing well!

Dave

just out of intrest what did you think of the female Marble im getting if you saw it

looked good, he has quite a few rays and all seemed in very good condition, and all his tanks were clean and well filtered, the female looked beefy. put it this way if it was me buying that female id be very happy with it! it was in a 6x3 with the bigger female orbignyi, he had another light base marbled female aswel that was really nice, you know how much he wants for the orbignyi?

I though i was getting the light base female she is about 10inch disk

oh i don't know then, this male is a clear base and so was its mate, i thought you was getting that one? the light base he has was about 10" and very nice!

should be getting my new bichirs on saturday if jm couriers remember to pick them up and deliver them!

just seen the motoro pics Dave its a beauty. When I eventually get round to keeping rays again it'll be them, fantastic looking fish!!!
