40g breeder plans...

This tank on YouTube is definitely over stocked in my opinion but they have pearl gouramis and different type if gudgeons with them including peacock gudgeons:
That's asking for trouble, empire gudgeons with peacock gudgeons. If the empire gudgeons get hungry, they will eat the peacock gudgeons. There's no way I would keep those 2 species together.

Oh yes, they have a personality indeed!
Thank you for all your help!
So new plan!

5x Peacock Gudgeons (Tateurndina ocellicauda)
15x Sterbai Cory (Corydoras Sterbai)
(Numbers will vary) 20x (some sort of top-mid dwelling schooling fish)
Pseudomugils

or

Definitely. I would never jeep them together. Bad stocking, I agree on that part

Awesome! I will look into those guys! Love the options... Seems like I'm going for a jungle river feel

I wonder if I can do two different threadfin rainbows? Like 10 of one group and 10 of another? Or should I do a big shoal of just one

Ok so I took a look at the Gertrudae Rainbow species @Colin_T and saw a video where they did trios or pairs are best and that the males will pair off to do a fight. He said it's pretty harmless and showed a video but I kinda want a fish that will shoal (doesn't HAVE to school) and be at the top. I really really loved the look of that rainbow... If only there was something like that, that would shoal a bit more

There's only 1 species of threadfin rainbow (Iriatherina werneri).

You could have a group of Iriatherina werneri and a group of Pseudomugil gertrudae or similar with the peacock gudgeons. Try to get 8-10 of each species of rainbowfish. The rainbows will hang out in loose groups and males have a little territory they defend from other males. When you have similar sized males, they will spend half the day showing off to each other in an attempt to impress the girls.

Ha @Rocky998, give us a budget, you have all these new fish designs monthly, but at the end of the day Mum and Dad have the money and won't give you any. So, what are you doing with all this information we are providing?

Actually I've been saving and have a financial plan 😏

That's a good idea... But the peacock gudgeons already do that and I kinda want a calmer, more docile species for the top that just swims together.
I don't want a species so calm though that they just sit still. I do want them to be active and swimming. Just not super quick and "jumpy"

Iriatherina werneri and Pseudomugil gertrudae aren't super fast and don't dash about madly. They are sedate little fish that get excited and show off :)

Check YouTube and watch some videos of them breeding.

You can also ask Adorable dearheart? I think she has P. luminatus and furcatus. Or someone has them.

That's what I did...
And I didn't like this:
Now they don't fight to the death actually, he explains that but I want a fish near the top the gracefully swims from one side to the other and not doing little show offs. The gudgeons will be doing that.
