30 Gallon Nano Journal...

haha yeah there have been a lot of horrible things that happened to my tank... First off, I think I did mention the passing of my jawfish and still haven't found out why he died! and my firefish died too RANDOMLY! In the morning he was perfect...And when I came back from school he has lying there with my hermit eating him. Scooter blenny also passed! After that I re-thought everything and really took in the advice that taking it slow is best. Since then I haven't bought any fish :] and plan to leave it that way until I get more L.R and do some remodeling. There have been lots of algae blooms lately mainly because I haven't reloaded my tank with a CUC since I bought it. So the things I need to do...

1.Kill the rest of the aiptasia that keeps on coming back!
2.Get more L.R (I need help with that...I'll talk about it in a bit)
3.Get a Clean Up Crew!!
4.Refresh my sand bed (by adding fresh new sand to the top layer since most of it gets sucked up when I siphon)

and then on my birthday which is in September...I can think of getting more fish.

So just to recap...
I need help with my L.R...I would show you the way my rock is setup right now but it's entirely the same as it was before. Now I want to start making somewhat of a wall or that two island thing that everybody else does. I need help on some ideas! If you guys can post a link where I can find inspiration for a new rock formation that would be awesome!

So far my stocking goes as follows...

2Clowns
2Bangaii Cardinals

Have a look at http://www.ratemyfishtank.com/
mosey along to the saltwater and reef sections for inspiration.
Then nip along to the video section for even more......you guessed it..... Inspiration. :D
Regards
BigC

wow mr september is alive lol. Glad to see you around on the forums again. maybe with your rock problem as stupid as it sounds turn all your rock upside down and its like you have a completely different puzzle to make... although it will be a bit colourless for a while

Lets see an update hey......

OKAY...Well I didn't have the courage to post this picture before due to fear of flaming and stuff. But now that I fixed the problem I don't see why I shouldn't show you the before picture...Now the reason why the tank has such a low water lvl is because these days in California it is DEAD HOT. So evaporation is crazy and I had schoolwork so I pretty much was an idiot and neglected my tank for the longest time.

LOL. did your mum never tell you, its not good to fish for comments! you may not like what you get back ;)
You have some nice fish there and nice clown pic too :)
Do your *twins* get on OK?

haha, nah it doesn't really bother me what people say to me on the internet that much. The twins do get along pretty well actually, they actually did mate a couple of times but they always end up eating the babies or I don't collect the babies in time so they get eaten by the other fish.

Yeah I'm taking a whole new turn on my top offs from now on. It was just that I had no water to top it off so I just kept putting it off. Maybe I should invest in one of dem fancy R/O units.

Update: I got a Kenya tree and Xenia frag from a local reefer. Here are some pictures...

Comments! :hey:

Nice corals, but damn, what camera are you using? shots look great :D

lol the same camera I've always been using. 7.2megapixel Sony Cybershot Model-DSC-p200. The shots are probably looking good because I recently figured out that I had a macro option :D

LMAO, those Sony's do tend to have good macro lenses dont they...
