30 Gallon Nano Journal...

Nothing your LR shouldnt be able to handle. Only add as much as they will eat in 2-3 mins, and then remove the left overs. Your CUC should also demolish and scraps, especially hermits.

You mean as far as fish diet is conerned? Absoloutely :D

Brain teaser >_>

Alright, as most of you know I had a coral on order so it came in the mail today. Not in the best shape since there was a hole in the bag so most of the water escaped also the 60-hour did nothing since the water was cold. Anyways couldn't have the heat pack go to waste so I used it to warm up my hands. Also, I was in a hurry so I only acclimated it for 10-20minutes. :rolleyes: . But all is fine now since there coming out of the purple thing. :drool: ...It's a really small frag but I still love it the same as any other since it is my first frag I own :fun:

Also theres more heads coming out from the left side ( where the current is stronger) Is this due to the fact that there is barely any flow coming from the right side?

Don't worry about it being a small frag, those polyps spread like there's no tomorrow.

Looks healthy to me, but they do tend to sulk for a while if they are man handled, give it a day or so and all the polyps should be out.

@enjoiskater158: I got it from E-Bay

@ombomb: That's what I've heard from so many people. I'm sort of looking forward to it since I can frag it and trade it in for credit! :drool:

So a little update one things since I haven't done one in ages. I'll get pictures up tomorrow since it's lights out already. Anyways, today Skeet Skeet made me curious on why my GSP hasn't been growing as much as I wanted it to. I found the culprit and it turns out my Alkalinity and my Calcium levels are lower than the norm. My alkalinity is currently at 5-6dKH and my Calcium is at 340 (very low). Anyways, in the next few days I'll be looking for tools to make my own batch of alkalinity and calcium supplements as its too expensive to buy it from my LFS.

Not much change on my tank though. After the recent upgrade on my lighting I've noticed a tiny patch of hair algae and cyano growing on the back of my tank, nothing that can't be scrubbed off. I need to get more snails for my clean up crew since they're sadly dying off, last count I had 1turbo snail and one astrea snail and also my cleaner shrimp. Given that it's a 30gallon thats pretty low. I've made some changes to the look of my tank by changing the background from blue to black. The blue poster board not being water proof got wet and was fading in color, so I stopped by the local market and bought a 'heavy duty' one thats much more thicker and is made from foam. I got over my aiptasia problem that I had last week by zapping it with some home squeezed lemon juice. I'm trying to get an update on another thing thats i've noticed on my rock. I asked some people on MSN on their thoughts but I've come to the conclusion that it must be a harmless polyp, once it starts becoming a noticeable problem I will take action but for now its not doing much harm. Another thing I changed with my tank is that I 'built' a cover made up of egg crate, took me ages to get the right fits for the wires, filter, light etc. In the end I'm extremely happy with the results. It's much more easier for me to take the cover off now. Before I used the old hood that came with the tank it was a tight fit but worked for the time being then I noticed that with the hood and the lights on there a substantial amount of light being blocked by it. So I changed to egg crate much more light can go through the holes and onto my coral.

I will try and post some pictures tomorow...

Here are the small updates. My glass was crap because I didnt it clean it the last water change so bare with me...
