Looking good mate, glad the HC has worked, hope that Helferi spreads quick. Looks like an iwagumi with wood instead of rocks, I'm liking this.

Really love reading this thread. Your tank is looking great. You are soooo patient!!! I know you set up the yeast but how did you find the FE working? I'm planning to only use liquid co2 and ferts for quite awhile and I'm nervous that it won't be enough. A yeast setup wouldn't work on a larger tank so I'm pretty much stuck with liquid...Your ricci seems to have done well.

thanks =D and im not used a FE (mum wont have one in the house) just yeast and liquid. i re-meshed the riccia the other day so it needs to grow out again. (i wanted some for another tank)

you could do a yeast set up with like 6 bottles? depending on the tank size

update:

HC is growing out nicely

hairgrass is sending off shoots

Helferi is in =D and growing well

chain swords are spreading nicely

riccia has grown out of the mesh again after i redid it. but i think i overdosed liquid carbon as its not looking healthy any more

How come the water looks... 'milky?'
Did you just mess around in the sand? or does it have another reason?

my water sometimes looks like there's some... 'dust' flying around...

i did a water change that day. its settled down now
