1.024-1.026 for corals Gab :good:
thanks steph

hmm now that im looking into the fish in even more detailand the fact ive never looked up a leopard wrasse before i noticed that males are green while females are the leopards (potential cougar joke here but ill try and stay proffesional :p )

so was wondering if the males are any sort of bright green or give off awseome colors under actinics would it be worth either getting a pair (take out the fairy wrasse) or would that be too hard?

remember im trying to get the whole color spectrumin both fish and corals

Not sure if the males "glow". Male and female can be kept well together though.
thanks
also thanks for the plumbing help :p

anyways, everything is OK plumbing equipment wise
just put in most of the old rock as well as the livestock ( cardinal, clowns, firefish, 2 nassarius snails and steve)
everyone is fine save the cardinal that fainted and need to recouperate lying sideways on the sand (no me gusta D: )
shes fine now and lights are off so hopefully no floaters :D

whats left in the 20 is one rock containing the majority of the zoos, mushies, and the GSP rock (which im pretty sure is dead but i put soe chunks in the 90 see if maybe it might still be alive, the fact it was in chunks means prolly not :/)

when my dad gets back from whereever we move the rest of the stuff over and then....
pictures

and then.... nothing, my dad isnt spending anyore money on this and there will be no new fish till after the frecnh open (becasue we are going to france :p)
also im spending my last remnants of my money on my planted tank, if anything ill either scrounge enough to get something because i cant stande having so much space, empty, and then have to look at nemos tank and see what could be :'(

whatever happened to the forum, me gusta :p

anyway things are going well, im calling the GSP officially dead :/

ill just get a frag i dont want something huge anyway, allows for natural expansion or whatever

ive also noticed where my low flow areas are, since bangaiis in general favor low flow, i assume where mine likes to spend most of her time must be the low flow areas, though i cant really go by this info now since i still have to transfer the powerheads and the rest of the corals which means alteration of flow patterns

im aiming for by the end of school to get at least one new coral, MAYBE thoguh highly unlikely a small sps frag (lfs got em for 25$) but i definaltey want to try for either pom pom xenia, sympodium, hammer coral, another GSP or some yellow polyps

basically i have about 80$ more to spend on freshwater and then the rest i slowly save up for a mass order of fresh and salt stuff:D

kinda sucks tho my parents refuse to give me allowance even though i followed the rules ( 25$ every 2 weeks for good behaviour/grade/cleanroom/chores, done that for 14 weeks = 175$ i do not get :'( )

No hope for a little part time job buddy?? When I was at school (I'm not saying when) I worked in a fish and chip shop to earn a few quid.

Ah, thats a shame, maybe they are having a hard time too. How are your studies?

nah seffie lol they just dont like handing it out lol

grades are awseome right now which is nice :D

update: well instead of yellow polyps and xenia i ended up getting yellow polyps and 3 green duncan coral heads (they only charged me for one)

i also noticed some red cactus algae growing on the dead GSP rock (its full of all sorts of stuff)

acclimating now, ill get pics up soon (turbos havent dented the brown wall of algae on the glass tho :/)

sorgan- id love a job but i cant drive and the nearest store is a good 15 minute drive

everything is happy, im not too ecstatic about the scape but i had to accomadate since i can only use existing powerheads, ment for a smaller tank = accomodate all the corals in front of the one powerhead. made dure duncan has good flow tho, and it never closed (from shop, to supermarket, to tank) despite being freshly dremiled.

my dads insistence to keep the 20 running as a frag/QT tank (dont even ask me how im gonna deal if i have to treat with copper) so i just put the zoo frags back cuz i didnt want to deal with them. alo means one of two powerheads has to stay in that tank (though theres no scape left lol)

also means i kept the sand bed in the 20 so i have to buy another bag of sand to place in the sump so i can move the tiny rocks out of the way so i can make things neat un tidy. or i can try and find eggcrate and make a structure and take out the sand and do it that way.

still have no idea where im gonna put the last rock i transfered lol.

heres a video and some photos... tomorrow since its taking forever

hopefully the last aip

so i wake up and run the tests to make sure everything is good (it is)

then i feed the fish and end up feeding the tank. the yellow polyps and the duncan coral ate prolly a quarter of the food ( cube o brine shrimp) which i hope will make it grow faster because i need to start pumping out frags for $$$

no more splurging.... gotta save 100$ to finish off freshwater then save up for mass online order mwahaha

trust me your not gonna see anything new then ill take a fts in 6 months time and BAM...

but first i need to get better powerheads
currently the take nozzles cover the back of the tank as well as one shooting diagnol across the tank (might be able to see in tank pic or vid)
im in need of getting either one or two powerheads that will be able to go across the entire front of the tank and pump out moderate flow (i was thinking maybe getting two of the same and putting them across from each other, they meet in the middle along with the nozzle current and cause it to go everywhere)

btw scape looks good to you guys? i dont like the front rock being there but i wouldnt mind if you guys thought it looked ok.

Scape looks pretty good but I'm sure you will end up changing things about while you're saving up for more stock.

I feel very sorry for you being dragged to France, especially to watch Tennis! Think I would rather go to North Korea and watch a scrabble tournament

We are 40 mins drive from Euro tunnel and I get free travel to France but still do anything I can to avoid going there, if I stood up and got in my car now I could be in France in just over an hour  (there's a chilling thought).

The Alps when it's snowing are great though

Just watched your vid and that's a very nice setup mate! Not just the tank but the whole thing. Looking really good! :good:

everything is going well, i love my duncan, the polyp size has gotten larger than store and the tentacles are much longer. i didnt glue it to anything i just placed it in a crevic so it did get adjusted by a passing snail but it looks better now lol, how lng do they take to attatch to rock?

only one thing

algae

evreywhere

wthhhh no me gusta

its just diatoms so will it clear up? soon?

also lost one of the snails everything is fine but it wouldnt let go of my hand when i was putting it in so ill guess something on my hand or maybe i pulled too hard trying to get it off (didnt really pull more like poking for it to let go)

also found a stomatella and an orange asternia
half the cactus algae is gone, guessing stomatella

ok things are lovely

duncan coral offish is growing another polyp woop de doo, ive named it randy due to a debate me and my teacher had about the morality of harming living things. if only there was a way to check if the coral rooted itself, youd think thatd be the first thing itd do before focusing on expanding?

another aiptasia, gonna get rid of it faster so it doesnt have a chance to do anything

i have to frag the yellow polyps because the new polyps are touching zoos and mushroom which apparently they do not like one bit, main rock goes on sand bed afterwards, frags go into frag tank (upgrade lights later methinks ill prolly end up with so many duncan frags  , guess i need a dremil too lol )

also on the money issue, ill be able to order my corals (and some other stuff) on my birthday since ill be getting at least 200$ coupled with however many weeks of 25s, now if only it didnt feel like my birthday was 3 decades from now

still have an algae issue but a good frontal scrub kinda fixed it

everything else is fine, fish are being fed 3 times a week instead of once and they are very, very, very fat
