also, to update the shrimp situation

i pulled out my little invertebrate book and had a look see at the shrimps.

im thinking, that since the 90 no longer has aips, and that the hawkfish will no doubt eat the peppermints, to try to move those over to the nano, put firshrimp in the 90, and put harlquins in the nano like before.

also, would sexy shrimp be a possibility as well? or too many shrimps in one place?

ok then no sexy shrimp.

so im putting in an old coke bottle (cleaned) with some brine shrimp in it, and then i play the waiting game.

i havent really seen them hunt around at night, but before i rescaped they were pretty active in the day, meh.

also after a waterchange in the 90 im moving over all the loose mushrooms (from saint thomas to rics) and i hope o have enough light for those lol.
also moving over the GSP frag and some palys, primarily the 20$ a polyp (now 3 polyps) one which looks pretty cool.
also moving over the favia frag (which has had a total growth of negative 3) for some one on one time

for corals other than that i was really hoping to find some snake capsule polyps, since they kind of look like plants.

any recs coral wise?

might also move over whatevers left of the tufted joint weed, if theres anything lol.

also going to try mysis and hope mandy has a go at them, he really active but hes skinny and it scares me, i went to the georgia aquarium and they had one that was seriously a balloon, made me jealous

A FTS would really help me recommend some things for the tank.. :p

im acclimating the corals now, ill take one after everything settles

they all did fairly well despite they all got covered in ****

Hey Gab... I definitely havent been around much lately... looks like youve been busy with the 90 though, and setting up another one is always exciting... i was setting up a 30g.. but then my 90 partially died off again so the 30 is being used as a QT for now :S

anyway hopefully im around a little more now

haha, yeah, that's a rhodactis. Mine is evil. I shall have to come up with an evil name for him.

I'm really interested in protopalythoa grandis for my biotope. They are Caribbean, as are St. Thomas mushies. :)

Why is your rhodactis evil?

Yeah I love the grandis they are cool

And the saint Thomas are awseome too, when they are happy at least lol.

Also, temp is being stable at the 77 mark, sometimes hitting 78

Because my rhodactis tried to eat my porcelain crab. Porcelain crabs typically "host" on something. Usually anemones, but also rocks, green star polyps, etc... One tried to host the rhodactis. Makes sense, it kinda looks like a minimaxi, but its leg was a bit too close to the rhodactis' mouth and the rhodactis began to gradually suck in the leg. I'm not sure if it would've been able to eat the entire crab, but it could've perhaps taken the leg off. It took a bit of effort to separate the two, and my rhodactis sulked for about 5 min afterwards. The Porcelain was very willing to move to a new location.

OMG, I had to put on the heat. We dipped into the late 30s last night. The pico took a hit. Plunged to 73, Everybody seems fine, but I've got to gradually raise it to 75 at least. All the other tanks are fine.

i told him not to touch the rock, it was pointless in trying to clean them

put he insisted and slightly adjusted a rock that, if it fell, could easily kill the torch, cyphastrea, finger leather, and wellso

and guess what

it fell

and it missed everything

by less than half an inch

it might have killed a nassarius snail though :/ poor guy didn't see it coming

Ok, ric gets moved tomorrow
Picked up another zoanthid frag today
Dad, after much trouble, picked up some palm tree polyps/ clove polyps/ Idk
Rock has yet to be replaced, mandarin loves his new cave

Oh man, that was so close. My family knows better than to touch my tanks.
