yes, your brother could have overfed her. bettas can go without food for up to abput 2 weeks. my betta stopped eating for a while when it started to get old. when bettas get older they arent as energetic and they were before when they were younger.

i have had a little expirience with this and what you can do is move around the decorations but then the betta might form a new habitat. when i added my betta to my tank he was off and on with the nipping for quite a while but after a couple days he was fine and stopped. :lol:
