Recently my platy have been having babies and the male platy has been chasing other fish around the aquarium. I was wondering if my clown loach might have been bitten and contracted ich? Is this the start of ich on the tail?

on a side note, the fish is acting normal and is schooling with my other clowns and eating very well. (if that matters)

All of my fish have been in this tank for 2-3 months now so i dont know how i could have gotten ich, if this is ich.

Ich starts in the gills and then when the infestation becomes more severe, generally appears all over the body.

We need a better picture to really be able to say. Based on those two spots on the tail, though, I'm not thinking ich.

Could it be a result of fin rot because his top fin looks bitten?

Those two spots on the tail are the only spots and from what ive seen i dont think this is ich, might just be dispigmentation.

my tiger barb had the same thing twice. the first time it was a spot by his lip then it went away. the second time it was on his tail and unfortunetly he died shortly after :( . i did some research after and found that it could be a fungus. i dont think it is ich because in my expirience ich was tuns of tiney spots that started at the head by the gill. a better picture would help lots :good: good luck!
