Hi everyone.

I bought a black moor and a fantail goldfish about 2 months ago and have just today re-homed them to a larger tank (thread). Unfortunately when I was moving them to the new tank I noticed the moor had several white spots, could this be itch?

Tank size:110L
pH:7.6
ammonia:0ppm
nitrite:0ppm
nitrate:5ppm
kH: Unknown
gH: Unknown
tank temp: around 20c

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Small white spots around head and some on body, seems to be behaving normally.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: Just put new water in the tank, in the old tank I did around 2 50% changes a day.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: None, other than dechlorinator.

Tank inhabitants: 1x Fantail Goldfish, 1x Moor Goldfish

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): None

Exposure to chemicals: None

Digital photo (include if possible): Sorry for the poor quality, the best I could get in about 20 mins :p

yes. i think he does have it. better treat it soon (my goldfish got it and then the whole tank of goldfish got it)! good luck!!!

Thanks, fortunately within a few days of him being in the new tank the spots have almost completely gone so I'm hoping it was just something in the old tank.

This could be the stage that ich swims freely in the tank, and then populates even more fish.

I would treat as it looked like ich
