i got a 5 gallon tank a year ago i cycled it but then i had 4 small goldfish in there(i had a big tank in line for them once they grew) and they just died:( so later i got 2 other gold fish they got ich i treated them shortly after they died!!!! after that i got 1 more goldfish and it died this one kepot going upside down and finally it died!!!!! :shout: (i was very frustrated) so i complete;y cleaned everything and started fresh.i started it up again and let everything run for 2 days. then i got ANOTHER goldfish and the next day it died!!!!!!!!! i did a ammoniaa test and it was allllllll good! so i gave up on gold fish and put in a betta the betta was fine but now he cant stay iupright and keeps going on his side :grr: he swims like hes twiching and i think he is going to die tooo:( idk whats wrong with this dumb tank but whatever goes in does not live!!!!!

am i doing something wrong?

help is greatly appreciated

I am going to suggest that you read through our thread on how to cycle a tank. I have a link to the Fishless Cycle method that we use in my signature area. If your fish lives, you could check out the fish-in cycle thread instead but that does not seem likely from what I am reading.

ok thnaks he is still alive i will try that!!!!!! thank u sooo much

I think you could never have a healthy happy goldfish in a 5 gallon, 10 gallon is the minimum for one fancy goldfish they say..

Edit- sorry I missed the part about the betta!
