i have my 400l over the edge of my stand (around an inch i think) and its fine and has been for a year or so

In my large community tank 3 of my red eye tetras have started growing lumps (hope you can see them in the pic) no other Fish shows any signs of this though if you need a list of what else is in there would be happy to.

What is the best way of getting rid, was thinking assassin snails, as I know my shrimp unless dying already would be relatively safe. Are there any other options?

for an air pump what lph is recommended to get so if it was 150l would you need a 150lph air pump or? more, i know for filters its good to get more just wondering if its the same

Why do all the higher air pumps have 4 outlets instead of the just 1? I don't really want 4 air stones around the tank and surely just blocking them off means you loose some of the power/air coming out of the 1 outlet you would use?

Haha knew it wasn't shrimp but every were I found says danio eggs hatch in 24/48 hours these appeared a week after I removed the danios to the larger tank as I was changing the stock to endure guppies, but decided I will just raise these for now

It does have plants, so if the 1 T5 is better ill just buy a fitting and put 1 in the lid instead of the T8 if I can't remove 1 from the current unit and still have it working will check today

What causes it? Is there a way to fix it when it's started or is that plant done. And how do I stop it on anymore

Pretty sure that's the lighting 2 T5s that are 2ft in length, can't take 1 bulb out as then unit don't work. But I could change it for the original lid that has 1 T8 if that's any better?

wow forgot about this post and it seems to be bumped, yes it will be for plants (i still have the blue white combo) but it does seem very blue

well i have no idea what my plant is doing but in it seems to be loosing all colour on its leafs and then looks just like string this only seems to happen on 1 of my plants (even though i have 2 of the same kind) i know its probably not explained well but if needed i will get a picture

this could be the problem i was thinking of upgrading my filter as it doesn't seem to create much flow. the lighting is 2 24W T5s (blue and white)

Just clean the sand before hand and even after you clean it you will probably still get some coudy water when you add it

I will be changing to sand sometime this week depending when it gets delivered now the only previous time I have used sand I found it difficult to plant (more importantly keep the plants in the same place) any tips or info on the easiest ways to do this?

I'm unsure but I would assume as long as its not treated with anything for any reason then I t should be fine, you might get some changes to water conditions though but again I'm unsure

The cheapest you can get is certainly Argos play sand needs cleaning probably more than aquarium brands and of course is just the standard colour.

Well you can't really see the pipes I only notice the dirt when I clean the canister

i will be doing the same (although to sand) i will be just hauling it all out and swapping it over but keeping my filter wet (which is not hard being a canister) i have done it before in old tanks and never had any problems so im just going to do it the same way

well i don't plan on having corys (although i do in my 400l and there fine on the smooth gravel) but this eco complete is no were near as big as that although i would probably say its abit sharper

The only thing I had was fly larvae but that was because some food got stuck and went yucky. Sorry but I can't see anything on the picture but that's probably my eyesight lol
