Just received my lighting unit 2 24w T5s but has two bulbs in it already a blue and a normal white (says 10000k I think but he blue doesn't say on the bulb)

Just wondering should I keep it like this or replace the blue with another

Are you planning on growing plants with these lights or are they just for viewing?

Sounds like a marine lighting rig, as SLIM says, depends entirely on what you want to do with it.

They'll both work - But you'll get a more pleasing look by swapping them out.
Somewhere on the net there's a site that show loooaaadddsss of combinations in planted tanks. But I cant find it...

Noooo. That's mine. There's a really comprehensive one somewhere! I'll see if I can find it later

Was wondering if you'd gone shy.

wow forgot about this post and it seems to be bumped, yes it will be for plants (i still have the blue white combo) but it does seem very blue

I personally would swap it for a daylight tube something between 6000k-8000k. Plants will adapt and grow under most lights but they will florish and benefit more from this colour temp.
