Thanks for the help i took it back and got a refund and treatment for my betta fish.. also they gave a £30 gift card as a good will gesture. Just hope my baby betta is gunna be okay. It was bacterial not lice:) thanks, ELliott

Bettas can survive in the most difficult circumstances,This doesn't mean they should. They should arrive fine,Make sure you float the plastic bag/cup they come in, in the aquarium for 15 minutes to introduce them into the new temperature thanks, Elliott

Thank-you for the advice was really helpful, I went and and bought some plastic plants and he wont stay away from them apart from when he goes to explore the thermometer and heater. I also introduced some black neon tetras which are tiny and they aernt getting sucked in to the filter so I assume...

Aslong as its around 2 cms away from your filter any depth is alright

What type of fish?

its 19 litres and it says its for tropical fish. he can easily swim away. hes not getting sucked in but swims towards it and then wraps around it and then it swims away after a little while

I have introduced my betta fish to his new tank and he liked to hide at first behind the filter and then hes started to come out alot to but he keeps swimming to the filter... its not a powerful one and he stays wrapped around it and then he swims away...is this normal?
