I must admit they are one of my favourite fish that i own at present.I dont think they are as bad as people say as long as you provide them a good tank and suitable tank mates :-)

Only the very fitest will survive to be honest and thats all i want to keep.If i have 50 strong jags fry left in a week i ill be happy.I have been checking the filter and yes there were a few but not many to be honest. They are pretty tough to be honest.This will be there last week with the parents.

early days yet if i dont have wigglers in 4 or 5 days i think that it will be a fail.But fingers crossed it works out :-) It seems to be breeding season in my house at the minute he he.will have to keep my woman away lol fish babies i can deal with for now :-)

No i dont have anything over it at all they dont seem to be bothered by it at all.

Another update and a few pics of the fry. Some have died off now as expected but still have around 150 to 200 eating well and getting bigger :-

I will feed them up for the next few weeks ,move the parents out of that tank and then only keep the very best and strongest of them the others will be food for my pirahna.I know it sounds mean but i only want the very best fish to be kept.Will keep the thread going and update pics as they are...

Update on my jags and there eggs. Well the eggs have now become wigglers and have been moved into a safe place under a rock. Parents are very protective as expected . Few snaps hard to take pics for now but best i could get for now. Lets hope i have free swimmers soon :-)

make sure you follow instructions as said if you dont use both bottles the water will not change in some cases .instructions on the back of the cards you get with the test kit i have the same one.

Thanks they are breeding every month now like clock work 7 females som i am sure lots more to come i am going to start striping females so they dont get eaten like always when they spit.

very cool i do the same myself if i dont have a free tank. i will leave these fry in the net breeder for a week or 2 and feed them up on artemia then they will get there own tank all to them selves :-*)

is the tank you are going to move them into cycled ? make sure you have asn esablished filter in it or it is fully cycled as fry are very sensitive to ammonia and n02 found the lead few pics of the new fry :-)

well i manged to strip my egypitian cichlids today so i did, butlike a fool i took the pics with no chip in my cam :hyper: they are stuck in cam memory and i cant find my lead to hook it up i will keep looking they are tiny got maybe 80 to 100 today :-)

nice i have lots of fry now from different fish but hard to get pics of as they hide in the rocks. Yellow labs ,demansonai and egyptian cichlids.

If ya dont have dreams they can never come true ;-) so never say never. I started of with small tanks and then started to grow my addiction :-) mind you there are lots of fish that fit nicely in your tank i am a big fan of the dwarf cichlids also :rolleyes:

That tank is 720 litres but i have a huge amount of filteration in it and change 50% of the water every week to keep high quaility some would say that i need a bigger tank , but i will take some out as they grow.But then again the best way to help on agression is to have lots of extra fish in...

Yes there are lots for now to help spread out agression ,i will remove some as they get bigger.i have allot of rock and places for them to hide at night when the lights go out they all disapear its quit funny.

i have a friend who ordered them from a great place in sinapore.there fish are great quaility.i waited a few months for them but was worth it.they are very tough as long as you add enough i would think you would be fine adding them :-)

nice tank how many zebra dianos are in the tank ? i would have at least 6 and at least 10 neons as they will school better in a group ;-) is the tank cycled ?
