Hi, I replaced mine on fluval 305 with eheim 16/22 mm tube with no probs at all, just choose the correct size and you should be fine,just make sure the nuts runs freely over the tubing . Good luck

Hi I had the exact same problem in my newly planted tank before adding a fish i used Esha Gastropex snail treatment which i bought from Maidenhead Aquatics you dose twice firstly to kill existing snails then again 2 weeks later for newly hatched eggs. It worked nicely for me good luck

I think what dane means is that when the snails die like anything else they decompose and release nasties into the water

Hi Just like dane i also have had success using esha gastropex snail treatment i got mine from Maidenhead Aquatics. It claims to be safe with fish and plants and you dose twice, first deals with existing snails second dose 2 weeks later deals with newly hatched eggs good luck Ian
