Well really in order for your tank to be cycled Nitrates should be around 20 ppm. You definatly need to get a power filter running in that tank...

Personally I try and wait about 1 to 2 months before adding them. I like to be safe but i've added already in 2 weeks on extreme cases and they were okay but you just have to watch them like helterskelter said.

Once again, you need to read what was written. Having people standing in that spot is not a very good idea in fact i wouldn't do that at all. It was an analogy just to put into perspective how much the tank would weigh.
