My 2 oscars prefer flakes over pellets, believe me they get enough of the flakes to sustain them. Oscars never really get "full" they'd probably eat until they exploded-lil' piggies. Give him a day or two with no food and he should accept the pellets. Remember variety is the spice of life and...

I have given my bettas sturgeon and tuna, never had any problems but it was just plain fish-no oils, spices or anything else. Also just as a once in awhile treat never as a regular part of their diet.

I've got 6 tattoos, 5 ear piercings, nose, tongue and all my naughty bits and bobs.

I use fish water to water all my house plants, then spring through fall I use it to water my outdoor garden and plants. Fish keeping wise I don't conserve/recycle much more than water but I do recycle glass, plastic, cans, and paper. I also bought and reuse cloth shopping bags for grocery...

Well my catfish must be stupid, he used to snuggle up to the heater burning himself quite a few times. If he wasn't stupid than he knew he was burning himself-doesn't make sense. I finally moved it out of his "area" and now he leaves it alone. Maybe he thought it was a smokin' hot girlie...

I would have buy hobby farm then set myself up with some mini chickens, mini cows (soooo cute) pygmy goats, a couple more rabbits, dogs, cats. It would have an outdoor pond and another one in the gorgeous greenhouse that will be there too! Mini cows...

I researched before I got my oscars and started with a 125 gallon tank. I figured it was cheaper to buy what I knew they would need rather than to keep buying and upgrading.

When my betta Sharkbait died I buried him in my garden. I was worried that I would find his skeleton when I planted my spring flowers but I didn't see anything left. I checked pretty thouroughly too. (don't know why, morbid curiosity???) I think that since they're rather small they decompose...

Boy, so much negativity coming out.... I like it, it's cute, and it IS big enough for a betta. I would put a one in there, 1-2x weekly water changes, some neutral gravel, smaller plants and it would be so cute! I'm not arguing with anybody here but I have kept bettas for years, never filtered...
