Divider Killed My Newest Betta :(

Ye i did buy some plastic white mesh, that alot of people use, the holes are tiny, so theres no way any fish can get stuck.

Heres a pic of it now.....

I'm getting some clear acrylic from school, to use as a lid, got to get it cut first though.

is that a DIY tank?? it's really gorgeous!

what material is the new divider

It's a plastic mesh used in knitting, crocheting? or uhm.. one of those things lol. You can get them in hobby sections or a hobby store.
The one I'm using I got at walmart for less than a dollar :D They're SO much better than the ones you get at a petstore. There are more holes, larger holes (not too large though) and they're very durable and cheap. :good:

my betta keeps getting into a little submarine that i put in his tank lol, its funny to watch, but he always gets out fine

no offence, but how stupid do you have to be not to take out the divider that killed the first betta

I can't believe it, i didn't bother taking out the divider because i was busy doing A-level work. I was up til early hours finishing off things as the deadline was today.

As i led in my bed i glanced at the tank (which is by my bed) and saw that my other betta was stuck, i couldn't believe it
I loved this guy, i can't believe i didn't take the divider out after the first one got stuck, i feel a right ####.

RIP buddy :-(

p.s i burnt that crappy divider  will never make this mistake again.

I know you said no offence but how should this comment be taken by the OP? To me it's nothing more than shooting someone when they're already down on their mistake. I'm sure it won't happen again but your comment is really uncalled for.

the owners feelings come second to fish health...and another fish is dead becuase he didn't take out the divider

fish keeping is about learning from your mistakes

I dont mean to be rude but personally i would never use a divider like that becuase to me it was clear it would cause problems
