Thanks! Tanks is 70L 24L x 15W x 12H. Fluval 2o5 and FLuval edge HOB filter. Its a unit from pond solutions. 2 x 24 w T5HO. one 10000 and one pink bulb. Have all the Co2 bits but dont think i need it with anubias

Thanks. 8 bronze corys so the sand gets shuffled. It's cool when they swim towards the surface and leave a trail of sand from their gills

I'm going to buy Hagen 2x24w t5 lighting unit but I'm unsure about bulb lengths, tank is 24" long and I'm going for High light, are all 24w t5 bulbs the same length? They all seem to be about 600mm but my local lfs say they have compact tubes? Cheers

The pourous media is only designed to use the dissolved organics in the water. So it makes sense for it to be at the end of the filtering process

Yeah why not, give it a shot! By doing water tests it will give you a picture of how your filter is handling the bio load on it. As long as what your using isnt toxic or degradable then it will harbour bacteria. I don't use activated carbon or anything cuz water changes and testing keeps me...
