Thanks. 8 bronze corys so the sand gets shuffled. It's cool when they swim towards the surface and leave a trail of sand from their gills

Tanks is 70L 24L x 15W x 12H. Fluval 2o5 and FLuval edge HOB filter.
Its a unit from pond solutions. 2 x 24 w T5HO. one 10000 and one pink bulb. Have all the Co2 bits but dont think i need it with anubias

have that light unit on my 70L really good quality and by the way tank looks great, are you going to add anymore plants?

A bit of advice at such high lighting your plants are going to most likely need food and either some liquid carbon or CO2 or they may struggle.

yeah man im delighted with the unit, when i ordered it i expected it to be big and chunky but im impressed with it.
At the moment im building a stand because its set on a coffee table and looks terrible. I have the frame just need to put boards on the sides and top. Ill also raise the light unit up a bit because i think the anubias cant handle all the light even though my photo period is about 2 hours per day.

I have the all the parts to set up pressurised C02 but iv been told that the anubias doesnt need/wont use C02 to effect, is this true?.

As regard to plants im going to add red ludwig? and iv ordered red root floater off another user named frothhelmet so that should help reduce the lighting.
At the moment im dosing some crap ferts called love fish. it has iron and macros so it aint too bad.
Ill post more pictures tomorrow when im finished my night shift. The rubber bands are gone and iv done a good clean up on the glass.

With higher lighting and no CO2, you're more likely to get algae on the anubias because it's such a slow grower, but once you get some floating plants in, they'll grow nicely under that light and dull it down a bit

Anyway thanks to frothhelmet iv got some lovely red root floater now. Fecking dlighted!

iv noticed alot of brown algae on the leaves but iv reduced the photoperiod and its helped alot!

Yeah dude, Not much has changed since my last post. I added Red root floater which i got from user frothhelmet. Looks nice and is starting to sprout new leaves every day. For the last two weeks iv been battling white spot. I lost two corys and a guppy but i think iv knocked it on the head. Im nearly finished a stand build as the tank is sitting on a coffee table and looks crap atm.
When i get the power head i think i can get rid of my HOB filter although i like using it for my fluval edge which i keep for a quarantine tank after that white spot trouble. what a pain.

cheers man, i tried to keep it basic but cutting MDF is hard without proper saws. The homebase near me doesnt do board cutting so i was using a hand saw and chairs to make all the cuts then sanding and planing to get straight edges. pain in the bum but a few manly days were had with a pencil behind the ear and lots of hmmmm's and tsk tsk's.
