Best Way To Check Tanks Temp?

I have an inside thermometre. I have been told that the outside stick on ones are susceptable to room temperature as they read the surface of the glass. The inside ones have the exact temps instead of colours too

    Rummy Nose Tetras

I have 6 rummynose, they all shoal very tightly together from one side of the tank to the other, very funny to watch. They keep themselves to themselves, i have never seen any sort of fin nipping or aggression. They are quite pale in the morning until the lights come on, then they have really...

    Low-tech Juwel Rio 180

wohh them plants have gone crazy at the left. I'd be tempted to get a bigger piece of wood in replace of that bridge (bigger than the piece on the left. Maybe some carpeting plants around the wood on the left?

    Cory's & Cat Litter

i've been trying for months and months now to persuade my girlfriend to let me have the fluval 240 or a couple of smaller tanks for some Betta's. She's said i can have the 200 instead if i stop talking about having tanks all over the house. Its a fair compromise. give it a year or 2 and i...

    Betta/pygmy Cory Setup

depends on gravel. They like smooth pebel like gravel, not sharp rock type. It damages their mouths

    Betta/pygmy Cory Setup

for some reason i thought this was for a 10 gallon tank. I think the minimum size tank for pygmy's is a 10 gallon with at least 6 members

    Cory's & Cat Litter

Hi, Some of you may have seen my recent thread on changing my current tank layout from a gravel to argos play sand. However, i have been persuaded by a couple of members on here to try Tesco cat litter. I'm now seriously looking into this My main concern is, would this base be suitable for...

    Sand And Fertilizer Base

ahh ok, thanks for the advice! i've never really considered the cat litter route. My two cats use it so i think it takes the appeal away  i'd need to see some pictures of other peoples tanks who have used it to get a good idea. I had my heart set on sand. If i was to put root tabs in...

    Sand And Fertilizer Base

Hi folks, I’m in the planning process of changing my current tank setup to a planted tank. I was thinking of changing the gravel to sand, Argos play sand to be precise. I was also going to have a layer of plant fertilizer under the sand. However, since doing plenty of research on the net...

    My 330L Planted Tank Journel

looks good mate! the vallis looks good. Will look even better as it grows taller. my opinion: I'd add some amazon swords maybe to the area where the bubbles are or where the vallis is on the far right of the tank. I'd also add some moss to the wood. It would give it a really good natural look...

    High Tech Journal

Some vallis on the far left hand side would look great. Especially if it grows tall and 'floats' on the top of the water oh and by the way... clean your glass

    Fluval U2

Unfortunatly not. I have a Fluval U2 in my Fluva Roma 90 tank and i am switching to an external. My advice would be to research external filters. They would be much better for your tank/fishies with a higher filtration rate per hour and they are a lot easier to clean (no more having to put...

    Betta Tanks

Thanks for the advice guys. I'd seen some videos of people adding dividers to the tanks, however, sometimes they look a bit unsightly (with the silicon against the glass in view) I just wish there was a company that did special Betta tanks like Fluval, where it was all done professionally and...
