Betta Tanks

Morning,

I have fell in love with Betta's! even better, so has my girlfriend, which means.......Betta tank time!!! (in addition to my main tank of course )

I have been researching their needs and other members tanks etc.. and have decided that i would like more than one Betta.

I have seen the tanks that have dividers, giving the option to have 3, 4 or even more Bettas in one tank unit.

I really like this idea, i think it would be a great showpiece in my house.

My main question - can you buy these tanks ready built or is it a case of buying a tank and 'creating' the dividing sections myself?

that seems okay for a fish store but betta like lower, longer tanks.

You can buy dividers to put into tanks, which also means that they're not permanent and can be moved around/added/taken away if wanted. I'd have a look at what your LFS/LPS has in stock. Bettas can jump and potentially clear dividers though, so I'd try to make sure it was a good deal above the water line to try to prevent this.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'd seen some videos of people adding dividers to the tanks, however, sometimes they look a bit unsightly (with the silicon against the glass in view)

I just wish there was a company that did special Betta tanks like Fluval, where it was all done professionally and looked presentable without having any of the hassle

I think you can get dividers that aren't permanently stuck in the tank, though I don't know how these compare to glass/acrylic sheets stuck in place with silicone.

You could always just get two seperate tanks and put them next to each other, though it may take up more space.
