I boil a pot of water and dip them for like a minute, then lay them out to dry, and use em! I stick them in the microwave if they've sat in the fish room for a while or something. The water gets milky the first two days after you put them in but it clears up really fast.

I thought your plan was to just add a bit of salt to their water as they heal, I didn't even notice you mentioning a bath. Personally I think salt baths can be stressful and in the case of ripped fins, unnecessary. How damaged are they? Gotta pic?

It's amazing how some people put themselves last in such terrible times. It takes a truly brave soul, that was a lovely well thought out post Ral. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be there :(

I would use less than half a teaspoon per gallon. Keep their water extra clean and they should heal quickly.
