If you have live plants, they could be nematodes. What types of fish do you have, and what size aquarium do you have? Planaria tend to be flat and kind of diamond shaped. Either way loaches and cory cats will enjoy them. Also some of the sand sifting cichlids.

I've seen spots like that on crays and other decapods. Sometimes they are just variations when they molt. Usually on the next molt they will either go away or increase. Either way, unless they are raised or fuzzy, I wouldn't worry.

Sounds like a fish in cycle. They are probably showing the signs of ammonia/nitrite poisoning at this point. Sometimes it doesn't right away. White feces is a sign that a fish hasn't been eating.

Your safest bet with a planted tank are dwarf cichlids. What are your water parameters, pH, temp, hardness? This will have a lot to do with your choices.

Pretty good they'll pair up. Rams and most other Cichlids don't pair for life. They will within the confines of an aquarium, but in nature it rarely happens that the same two fish spawn more than once or twice in a life time.

How old are the fish? Sometimes they will breed when they aren't actually old enough and the eggs won't be viable. Usually the male is the immature one. There is also two other possibilities, 1) one fish is sterile, or 2) they are both female. Good luck!
