Hi guys , had my tank for around a year now , was a mature tank to start with as i bought it from the mother.

Even though ive had it a year im still struggling with fish stocking .

Tank works out at 135 L and the fish are

2 red eye tetras
5 Neon tetras
1 dwarf gourami
1 flame gourami
1 pearl gourami
1 silver dollar
Common pleco
and another fish which i dont know what it is its white at the front and black at the back about 1.2 inch long

As you can see my stocking isnt great!
Ive tried rehoming some but no one seems to want any!

Can anyone help me out, offer advice on if i should stock up more fish and which ones need to be rehomed?

Substrate is sand with live plants i that makes any difference

Many thanks , marco

I'll start... fish to rehome or give to a fish store; two of the gouramis, pleco and silver dollar. Up the number of neons to 6-8, same with the redeye tetras and also the last fish you described. Sounds like a skirt tetra, if it is again up the number to about 6-7 fish. A better option would be to pick two of the tetras and do schools of 12 or so each. With that arrangement you could add a half dozen cories or so. This would give movement throughout the tank.

Nice suggestions above.

Hi thanks for the advice ,

This is the idea in my head.

I would like to try rehome the dollar , pearl and flame gourami , red eyes and the black and white one along with the plec

Leaving me with my neons and the dwarf G

Then up my numbers of neon , then i would really like some shrimp , a couple of dwarf frogs and some snails.

Maybe another school of smaller fish , guppies or something?
Would that work out alright?

Many thanks

Marco

Edit

Just looked at cories and they look awesome!

Cories are awesome.  I wouldn't mix frogs with fish.  Frogs just don't get to food fast enough, imho.

Your choices are good too. You could add 6-8 male guppies for color. I wouldn't add females, they aren't as colorful, and if you aren't interested in breeding them, why bother?
I agree about the frogs, they really should be in a tank setup for them.
Shrimp will work well with the fish you have chosen.

Can I just butt in and say rummies or fireheads would look great in a 135L planted setup? I reckon you get some of those up the neons, maybe get some female dwarfs and some cories of your choice, probably Sterbai, and possibly if you like them Otos would do well, providing you have some broad leaved plants for them to park their fishy bots on

Just an update , had the.day off work and managed to rehome the dollar and the plec.

Found an awesome aquarium shop in tong bradford

Also while I was there I got myself some plant ferts , along with an amazon sword and another massive plant with giant curly green leaves that look like you can see threw them :D

Guy was awesome told me what plants I could and.couldn't have in my tank with lighting I have and said he'd happily take any fish that need re homing :)
I'd put up some pics but my SD card in my phone has broke so can't take act photos :(

Hi , its called QSS Aquarium & koi centre , 339 wakefield road ,

It's just at the side of the dual carrige ways , think its an old police station

Where abouts in Leeds are you from ? Hunslet here :D

Looks like Aponogeton Ulvaceus to me. It's definitely an Aponogeton.
