    Kind Of Rescaping

No worries :) Thanks for that. Did a water change today. Here's some pics of what the thank is looking like at the moment. The kribs have absolutely destroyed the pebble pile, they have been digging everything out. Lots of growth on the Hygrophilias. The bit that broke off weeks ago and I...

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates! I've been super busy and super broke! I got a pic of that plant for you. I uprooted it to find it had grown heaps! New leaves :) I haven't organised any more plants as of yet. I'm waiting for the supplier to get some more Java Fern, and like I said...

    Paradise Fish Buddies?

Thanks for all the feedback. Sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. I've been away. I had read previously on the net that the minimum tank size was 65L. Hence why I thought they would be okay. Would we be able to get away with one? and some black neons. I haven't got the dimensions of the tank...

    Paradise Fish Buddies?

Hey guys, My partner is wanting to get a pair of paradise fish, I'm wondering if either Hengle Rasbora or Black neons would be compatible. I was thinking maybe the Hengles might be a little small with them as i've read they should be kept with larger tetras etc. But he doesn't like Harlequin...

    Malawi Cichlids And Plants

Any of the Java fern varieties I have found work great. They don't like the taste of it. :good:

Thankyou :) They're not too coloured up at the moment. They're pretty annoyed at me for moving everything around all the time haha.

Should it be attached to a rock or wood then? It's sprouted a new leaf since I've planted it :/

    Kind Of Rescaping

I would love to have the large leaf Anubias you put up, but I just can't find it! I tihnk we're pretty limited to plants here, which sucks :( I was thinking maybe the Anubias Nana on the wood on the right hand side, and java fern around it. Considering Java Fern take soooo long to grow, I figure...

    Kris With Other Africans

Although it is not recommended. I do actually have a large Krib in with Malawis. Though, the only reason I have him is bcause he was running rogue and killing everything in my Mum's tank. I understand about the water differences, but he's already come from a hard water environment. The...

Thanks :) The big plant seems to be doing well. I've noticed the top parts drop off, and I can re-plant them cos they have roots on the bottom :hyper: One has dropped off so far, I planted it, and seems to be really healthy. #29### about the ground covers. All I know is I need to fill that...

    Kind Of Rescaping

Pics as promised. Mystery Plant: TANK Right hand side view. Left hand side view. I was thinking of putting some ground cover around the 'pebble pile'. Thought it would fill it out nicely. As for the piece of wood, I need to get some more Java Fern, and I plan on putting the...

Okay so my Wendtii finally arrived! And I got my pebbles today. I'll upload a few pics in a minute. (Just warning they're not the best, still using my phone  ) All in all...I'm still not happy haha. I'm just so hard to please :P But I think I know what I want to do. Can anyone...

    Big Tank - Big Filter

Depends what type of filter you want. Internal or external. I have an internal Otto 2000. Pumps 2000L per hour. I have it in my 420L tank. It does a superb job.

    Kind Of Rescaping

Why thank you! I got an email yesterday saying my plants are being posted today! Finally! Now I can get cracking. Time to get the pebbles I think. But like I said, I'd like to get some Anubias Nana. So when I stick my hand in the tank next I'll grab a pic of the mystery "big green plant".

Mine certainly does not look like that, I haven't managed to get a pic yet though. That is a stunning plant by the way, love the colour. I'm STILL waiting for my crypts  Once I get them, I'm going to order some Anubias Nana I think, and get some more pebbles! :) Thankyou for your...

Thanks :) It seems to be coming along nicely. Would it help if I took a picture of the roots? Would that confirm it for you. It doesnt appear to have similar roots to the Java Fern.

Hello! New Here, Would Like Some Advice.

I honestly have NO clue about shrimp. I'm guessing they would though? I don't see why not, it's not like the neons or guppies would eat them. :/

Hello! New Here, Would Like Some Advice.

Ive never seen other tetra's school with neons. So I'm going to go with no, no they won't haha. I had another look at your pic, as I thought then maybe your neon's were cardinals, but they are definately neons. They do grow remember. The ones at the shops are probably just younger. They will...

Hello! New Here, Would Like Some Advice.

Hey there, welcome to the forum! It sounds like you have been doing a great job maintaining this tank. With a small bioload in there, your water changes have been sufficient. (I think so anyway) I would certainly up the number of neons, they are a schooling fish, and like to be in groups no...

I'm willing to share, haha I'm nice like that :) Thankfully, I don't think I am over dosing. I haven't had any algae. I've stopped dosing for a couple of days, and then will continue with half doses as you suggested. Java fern is still dying though. Very slowly. Well I think it's dying. And...
