Is the Eheim unreliable, and is it common for filters to break down after a while? And yeah, i have been informed cables arn't really good, and i'll get 2 heaters. But how powerfull in terms of Watts should they be?

I used to have 20 of these. One thing you have to consider before you buy these, is that will the other fishes in your tank be able to compete for food? Because my fishes couldn't. They eat absolutly everything, and they eat fast.

What is the best way to clean the outside of the tank? To remove marks and spots after water and just fingerprints...etc..

Well i wont be getting any tank mates for it, at least not for a while. I have 4 obscura now in the same tank, and they are about the same size. They do get along well, and i havnt seen any fights.

I want to get a bichir or a ropefish, preferably both. Do you think it will be ok to have it with 2 snakeheads?

Oh...well my snakehead is very shy, its never swims in the open, but i see it swiming between the plants and roots. is this normal behaviour? also, im thinking of buying 2-4 more obscura. is this a good idea?

So i've kept a Parachanna Obscura for a week now, and it has a 85 gallon tank all by itself. I have anbuias, javamoss and javaplants, stones that are polished to be not so sharp, and sand as substrate and a plenty of wood. The tank provides good places for hiding and big open swimming areas...

Are you sure, the parachanna obscura isnt as violent as the others, at least, thats what i've heard.

Parachanna osbscura is the name of the snakehead. Im thinkin of either one oscar or a bichir. What do you people think?

Yeah, it looks like im having 0.2 wpg. Going to install some more tubes, but i'll see. About that plant, its been growing like hell, it just gets bigger and bigger, i don't think it needs much light, and i dont use co2.

I've read somewhere that this is normal, its trying to grow roots. It's a common mistake to belive its a illness or something, but its actually a good thing.

Anyone? Oh, and i'm probably gonna buy some more mediumsized roots.

I wish i could, but i have a corydoras barbatus, which needs cooler water, i'm going to keep the temp. the way it is, til i get my 100 liter tank set up for the barbatus. Or should i raise the temp? Do you know if my barbatus would be harmed?

I'll wait a few days then.. I just made sure the temperature was the same in the bag as in the tank. Then fished them out, i belive it doesnt really matter if i put some water from my tank to the bag will do any diffrence. I've read it takes days and maybe even weeks before they are adapted to...

yeah, they had damaged fins when i purchased them ( i get them from a webshop, so i can't pick which exact fish i want). But its nothing to awfull. They live to gether with 17 corys (aenus, barbatus and schwartzi), 1 glassfish, 5 ancitrus.

They are not timid or anything, they are at the front glass and they started to eat, but i don't know. They might not be used to that type of food. Also, one of them seems to have parts of it fins missing, as in illness or some fish has bitten them. Anyway, will they grow out and is there...

Update: I went to just look at what the lfs had to offer, and i bought 1 cory. Barbatus. I've read that these are comfy alone and/or in pairs. So, im gonna get one or 2 more of these.
