My 4 Angels Wont Eat.

I'm feeding them Wardleys Tropical flakes, but they dont seem to be intressted.

They are abit under medium sized fish, and i got them 2 days ago.

Is this normal behaviour?
Or is my food crap?

Are they scared and timid yet? Given you just got them, they may be uncomfortable going into open water to feed. Now on the other hand, it may be possible they don't like your food, although I use the same flakes for my angels, it still is a possibility. Give them a little bit of time, and if they continue to not eat it, maybe try something else.

They are not timid or anything, they are at the front glass and they started to eat, but i don't know.
They might not be used to that type of food.


Also, one of them seems to have parts of it fins missing, as in illness or some fish has bitten them.
Anyway, will they grow out and is there something i can do?

yeah, they had damaged fins when i purchased them ( i get them from a webshop, so i can't pick which exact fish i want). But its nothing to awfull.

They live to gether with 17 corys (aenus, barbatus and schwartzi), 1 glassfish, 5 ancitrus.

they are probably still settling in they will eat eventually.angels usually eat everything try the blood worm and see how you go the damged fins could be injuries from nipping or fin rot or many other things

id put some flakes right in the water output of your filter.where the water comes out and back into your tank.this sends it under water and to the bottom and turn your light off

If they don't eat bloodworms or brine shrimp, something is up. I'd give them a couple more days though, your water may be quite different from the water they were raised in. What method did you use to acclimate them to the tank, and what is your water temperature?

I'll wait a few days then..

I just made sure the temperature was the same in the bag as in the tank.
Then fished them out, i belive it doesnt really matter if i put some water from my tank to the bag will do any diffrence.
I've read it takes days and maybe even weeks before they are adapted to the different water changes.

My temp. is 25 degrees.

Also, they seem to be very healthy, they are active and they seem to look for food at the surface, but they just don't eat my flakes.
And i can't get anything else for at least 3-4 days.

The pH & hardness of your water could have been vastly different from what they were raised & bagged in. Sometimes pH shock takes a few days to show up. If they are ok after a week they should be fine in this respect.

I would bring the temp up some, I keep my smaller angels around 84F, larger ones usually a little cooler, 80 to 82F. This means around 27 to 28C. A little heat helps stimulate the appetite, when they are hungry enough they will eat the flakes. Mine eat anything I toss in the tank.

I wish i could, but i have a corydoras barbatus, which needs cooler water, i'm going to keep the temp. the way it is, til i get my 100 liter tank set up for the barbatus.

Or should i raise the temp?
Do you know if my barbatus would be harmed?

I am sure they will start eating soon... If I know domestic angelfish they love to eat. I hope they are doing well besides their little "Hunger Strike"....
