I really want a blue gourami, but i am afraid it will be aggressive towards my betta splendes and my two band gouramis.

I have various other fishes as loaches and cory's, but i dont think it will bother them.

What do you think?

My tank is 85 gallon, and has alot of hiding places amongst roots and plants.

Should be ok, especially if just a lone fish. Just watch like a hawk for agression, can be an issue and may require tending especially with the pair of gouramis.

Absolutely not!!! A blue gourami would kill your betta in a heartbeet. technicaly, you shouldn't realy ahve a betta in with any type of gourami at all (ie: your bandeds) but banded gouramies are rarely aggressive so I wouldn't be surprised if that works out (though you never know with bettas - it may be best tos eperate them as a rpecaution). But with a three-spot, your betta would not survive.

i have a aggressive three spot gorumai wouldn't try him with many fish specially not betta's, you could get them if you get another tank for your betta? doesn't have to be big 5g is more than enough.

:good:

betta + gourami = big no no

Thanks for all the replys.

I have had no problems with my betta and gourami.
The betta sometimes tries to chase the gourami away, but nothing serious.

But i think i will not buy a blue gourami.

Thanks.
