I just had two with dropsy. Look at him from above. If he's pineconed then it's dropsy. With mine the whole body was bigger not just the belly.

Thanks so it's safe to move them to another tank without anything spreading? I'm ok about treating the whitespot as my sisters tank had the same after she bought some fish at pets at home and we cleared it up. My worry is just the frog and snails.

Would taking them and placing them in my other tanks spread the infection to my other tanks though? I also have a frog. He's gonna have to go in one of the other tanks but won't this spread the whitespot?

I've been advised to use aged water for my Betta who is stressed from travelling and his new tank. Is it really a lot better than adding declorinator and using water straight from the tap? If so how long do I need to age it for?

My Betta is stressed and I have been advised to leave his lights off for 3 days. I planted the tank today with Java Fren, Java Moss and Spikey Moss. If I leave the lights off for the 3 days will it ruin the plants?

ahhh thanks so much for that. It's only to help his fins along as he shredded them to bits from stress. So I can just follow the instructions and go ahead and do it?

I plan to use some tonic aquarium salt to help heal my bettas fins, would it affect my plants? I have a coconut cave with Java Fern and Java Moss plus bogwood with Spiky Moss. If it does kill them can I just keep my plants in a bucket of water for a week while he's treated? Or is that no good?
