No I wouldn't pick any guppies. Even the lyre tail tbh. I have Cardinal Tetras in with my Bettas and they're gorgeous. Platys, pitbull plec, rasboras (the neon green are gorgeous) can all go with Bettas. Corys are great but prefer sand or very fine garvel as they dig around in the substrate.

ceramic rings they're just another method of filter media like a sponge is. Yes put your old filter sponges in there to cycle it.

Move the tank decor around. Take him out and float him in the tank for a few hours then pop him back in. That helps reduce agression

There's no set time of how long it will take to grow their tails back. I had one fish gorw his back within a week. Another took ages growing it back and eventually got swim baldder and died. You need to keep your water clean and that will help it grow back faster. Tbh Bettas and guppies are not...

+ 1 I did that when I changed to a Fluval. I took all the media out of my old filter and popped it in the new one. It took about a day to cycle.

They lose their colour when they are stressed and she had stress stripes ideally you should have at least 5 females to spread the agression. I've never seen one lose colour like that though, half like that. Try changing around the aquarium decor that sometimes helps. Is there a main bully?
