hi i was wondering what fish would be compatible with bettas in a ten gallon tank any advice helps and i have and air pump heater caves live plants and a filter i was wondering if generally people have had good experience with guppies and betta fish i would like small active schooling fish that wont harm the betta

Dwarf Cories work well if tou have sand substrate.

Guppies you should avoid, although i have had sucess with endlers :good:

Okay I would like to say one more thing yesterday I was a Petco and there was something called a lyre tail guppy and it looked more like and endler with a double pointed tail can they go

No I wouldn't pick any guppies. Even the lyre tail tbh. I have Cardinal Tetras in with my Bettas and they're gorgeous. Platys, pitbull plec, rasboras (the neon green are gorgeous) can all go with Bettas. Corys are great but prefer sand or very fine garvel as they dig around in the substrate.

Definitely not! Serpae tetras are one of the nippiest of all the tetras.

i have my male betta with endlers and they're living in harmony

Can this go with a Betta fish or no

From live Aquaria great pic

i wouldn't rish it with its long flowing fins, Endlers generally work best if you are wanting colour, there size helps too as they are smaller therefore not 'seen' as another betta ;)

another note, ideally the Betta needs to be last in, the only other way around him not being last is to take him & everything out and re-arrange it, add the new fish first then the Betta later in the day

I know about the last thing it is because if it is first and then you add the new fish the Betta will attack them because they are in his territory is that right
