Bogwood With Plant Already Attached Do I Have To Soak It?

I bought a piece of bogwood with a plant already attached, will it need to be soaked or can I just put it straight in?

no point in making your tank the colour of the amazon for the sake of a bucket of water!

It doesn't need soaking, some tannins may leach out, but what's the harm? They're good for fish.

Thanks, there are some tannins in the tank already from Inadian Almond leaf so I'm not bothered.
