I just went to remove some and my Betta has made a huge bubble nest amoungst them!!! His first ever since being with me. A happy Betta is a bubbly Betta. My tank is actually by the window so natural light shine in the side all day. Will that help the plants?

My sister has discovered Discus fish and loves them. She has a 125 litre tank with one gourami and a few guppys and 6 cardinal tetra. Is having Discus in there possible with what she has and the size of the tank? Also what kind of special care do they need? thanks

They need to be kept warm. I keep mine at 27c. I think if you were in a hot country or your house is hot it would be ok. But I'm not. My water is 20c without a heater which is no good for a Betta

I wondered if anyone who keeps fish feels funny about eating fish. Personally I don't like fish so it's never crossed my mind. But if you had like a fish dished up roasted whole or something would it makeou feel a bit :sick:

Thanks for that tip I didn't know that. It's a 6watt strip light that came with the tank. How many hours a day should I have that on?

My 6 inch stone has a powerful enough pump and bubbles come out all the way along but it's not as good as it used to be. Do they need replacing after a while? Also are the non branded stones as good as branded ones like interpet or elite? Thanks

I'd be happy to donate some. I used it to seed my filter and it worked in about 1 day to fully cycle my new tank and it's still in there. I live in cornwall though. I could post it next day if the cost was covered.

Colour enhancing pro pellets do work. I feed mine those. My Betta hasn't grown all of his fins back totally yet either, there's a little bit of clear growth on the tips but that's it. The split is still there. All the pin holes went though and it's not gotten any worse so I think that it's gone...
