Hello guys!

I was just wondering if anyone sells some spare mature filter media in Leeds? The donation is inactive, so I struggle finding some. I've asked my local fish store, but they don't sell them, except the ones in the bottle, which I've heard are not that useful. I live in the centre, so I could perhaps pick it up if possible. I am bad with transportation since I'm not familiar with Leeds myself, so I tend to walk by means of transportation instead, so I would be grateful if you're nearby :p!

Thanks a lot!

As I said above, it's inactive :p!

One of the donors was on here in April this year, it's also quite possible that all three of them still keep fish (I did not sign into the forum for 3 years at one point, for example).. have you tried sending a PM or email?

I have messaged every one of them but no replies sent at the moment

So asking here is my last resort. I've tried every method possible to get a mature filter media. I hope someone replies soon! :p

Well, good luck.. you can always try asking for some by post, at least 50% of the bacteria should survive overnight, and potentially up to 90%.

Maybe I should do that. It's just complicated how I could send the money since I can only use cash hehe! Thanks Kat! :D

Only cash? Why's that? Anyway, you could always go into a bank branch and deposit it in the OPs account, no?

I don't know how to use any other means of payment online except ordering stuff online hehe! What's OP?

Sorry :S

OP is original poster and you can use paypal to send money over the net its probably the easiest way to do it

..or other person, whoever that may be. Yes, Paypal would work. Also, one can transfer money from one current account to another.

Shame I missed it :p! Perhaps I should try refreshing the homepage more frequently :D! Hehe! My fish store should sell some, but they just said buy the one in the bottle (Yea, right). More money for them I suppose :/

I'd be happy to donate some. I used it to seed my filter and it worked in about 1 day to fully cycle my new tank and it's still in there. I live in cornwall though. I could post it next day if the cost was covered.
