needs sand imo and as for the airline suction cups and put it in the corner and plant a amazon sword or something infront of it when it grows it will cover the pipe and the heater looks odd needs to be put in the centre of the tank ( but thats probably me just being wierd )

the heater..I thought the same thing but I put it on the side and it stood so I put it right there.....I have a plant that is really tall and I could but on that corner and cover the pipe up!!!

When putting in the sand would I need to put n e thing on the bottom b4 putting the sand in?
