hi henry. as far as the fish go i like the african cichlids they come in an array of dazzling colors and are entertaining to watch. you can put catfish and plecos with them and they will get along. As far as decorations depending on what color gravel you have you could try colored aluminum foil...

hi i would say to definitely take the fish out and put i a safer location and then remove all the sand and clean the heck out of it wash and rinse wash and rinse youll probably have to repeat this several times in order to get the sand to settle down and not cloud the tank so much hope this...

hello. i am by no means a fish expert but i do keep oscars and know that they produce a ton of waste i have to do a 30% water change weekly just for them! the plecos will help to clean some stuff but not enough. i would hate to see you part with your fish but it might be healthier for them...

have you tried not doing a water change for say a week and then testing the level maybe the tank environment hasnt had a chance to stabilize due to so much water changing

definitely the cichlids i can hand feed one of mine live food and he just hangs out in my hand if thats not smart i dont know wha is..

hello food could definitely have a lot to do with the oily problem, overfeeding can cause the same thing.

hey i had a tank similar and i just filled it up to the top with bleach and let it sit for a couple of days and then dont laugh but i took it to the local carwash and let er rip the tank was good as new and the heat from the power washer made the cleaning a snap :fun:

hey i jsut read your post. can you give a little info on your set up what size tank what kind of fish,plants,gravel or sand on the bottom hwat kind of pumps or filters. if you have a container that can hold them ammo chips work wonderfully in your filter if not how often do you change your water...
