hey every one my name is serena and im 16 in may lol anyways im looking into geting a tropical tank. iv had almoast no info on tropcal tanks well i have 3 betta tanks. and i have a goldfish tank that im exstramly happy and proud of (its a 27 gallon an has one goldie and 2 dojos) and my parims are always good. . i know quite a bit on cold freshwater tank but not alot on tropcal exsept they need higher temps. i like to get info on fish befor i buy them i made tha mistake on my goldi tank and dont want to again.

thank you. is it true tropicals need less room then goldie(ten us gallonsmin per fish?) i herd the for every inch typ rule but im not trusting it too much i dont like petstore info.

Just post questions and read threads here ot get a general idea of the fishes' anatomy. There are also many books you can get from the library on tropical fish in general.

If you've got coldwater and betta tanks, then you are pretty well on your way to knowing most of the things you need in order to have a successful tropical tank.

Hey all Im a newbie too!!!!!!!!

Its so great to have a place to check and ask questions about keeping fish.
Ive gotten so really great info, since I got really bad info from the fish store (Petsmart) to be exact. And to think I went to them cause I thought they would tell me all I needed to know, but no, they just talked me into some major hassles, and out of alot of money.

So this site has been a life saver, mine and my new fishies!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully all goes well with them cause I have had problems so, be fully warned I will return with numerous questions.
