Correct me if wrong, but Im pretty sure that electric blue demseys are hybrids. And kind of rember reading that because of that they have a shorter lifespan than a normal dempsey :/ I could be wrong though. Its been a while since ive read up on any Fresh water fish. -Riley

I have the same Protein Skimmer as that. It is an allright skimmer if you constantly nurse it. If not then it gets clogged up and dies untill you clean it out again. For example I left for the weekend and had know one to rinse out the collection cup so it got clogged and died till I cleaned it...

You can, but you have to wait awhile before the rock becomes cured, and when it is cured then it is safe for fish. -Riley

Hi, I was wondering if I should keep my fuge light on 24/7 or shut it off at night with the rest of my lights. Just wondering cause if I can shut it off, it would save me the grief of thinking about it burning me and my house down in the middle of the night.
