Hi, I just recently built a fuge out of my AC300. I posted before trying to identify this "mystery" snail I have in my tank, and most people said that it is a whelk snail. they said these are carnivorous and not good. I was wondering if I could just put it in my new fuge? or is this a retarded Idea?

I dont think its a retarded idea, although the whelk (if thats really what is) may simply crawl out. Or it may eat the animals in there. There isnt much chance of that though. Go for it! :D

All creatures that are too dangerous or simply a creature i am unsure about in the main system always gets put in the sump.

One of the designs of a fuge is for pods to grow and hopefully feed a fish like a mandarin. I think a welk will not be able to the productive cycle of a pod population. Thats of course if the welk eats pods. Im not sure if i have ever heard of one having such a diet.
