i have grass (fake plants ) either side off my tank in back corners i only have fake plants in tanks cos clowns and plecs destroy real plants .(sigh ) you can see what plants i have in siggy ..lots of hidy places for loaches and any thing else that likes to hide ,,, was fed up replanting daily...

ur filter doesnt really need changing that frequent , do as ur doing , give them a quick rince in the water ur removing from tank fortnightly. i remove one filter media one week , the other the following , this helps keeping the flow going nicely on ur filter .. and do a gravel clean...

i dont think he ment any harm , i had a case of ich in my tank , i had 3 clowns , when ich was about 3 of them didnt look happy , u can tell im guessing by how they react , .when one of mine died he was covered in ich , and the other 2 clowns were im guessing gutted cos they went into hiding for...

during my case of ich which lasted 3 weeks just over , :S i lost 2 clown loaches and heeps of neons , if u look for my thread in here somewhere , i had some very wise advice from cpl people ..what worked for me was what tizer suggested also wilder helped heeps .. go have a read heres my thread...

the filter sponges gets a rince in the bucket from water from tank which i remove .. the sponge gets dipped and squeezed out then replace , this so it doesnt wash out the bacteria , surely after 12 weeks it should be cycled? i know the goldfish waste is a lot ..so is there anything i can do...
