How are the other fish doing?

doing ok , the only clown left still have a few spots on tail but is well active as with the platties and sucking loach in main tank .,

4 neons also doing ok they will go back to main tank when i see the clowns spots are gone

stopped treatment now for a few days ..will restart after weekend to give them a break and then see what we still dealing with

Hi all , sorry i not been here to update took some time out.

but letting ya all know the main tank one clown loach , sucking loach and 2 platties doing really well ,clown has 2 spots left to drop off he looking really good , swimming and his colour is radiant

hossy tank down to 3 neons ..spot free just leaving them in there for a cpl weeks , main tank to high temp for them so they happy for now

so all in all i think we have saved some from this nasty nasty bout of ich

hi a update for ya , ick all clear now for 5 days .the night i wrote last post his 2 spots fell off and not had any since so yayyyyy saved 1 of the 3 loaches .. really happy!!! 2 platties are looking good

on a down side my apple snails just both decided to die,

so happy looks like ich finally gone

tank temp still at 30 ,, so will start taking temp down at weekend slowely too 28 . which someone mentioned to me thats a good temp to help keep ick at bay , weather it will or not i dont know but all ur advice was good and helped me in my manic times of starting up my aquarium

this weekend coming i will move the 3 remainder neons back to main tank they been clear over a week now ( when i have reduced tempto match this one at 28) they are currently in a tank with loads of young guppys and a few even younger mollys .. LOL

i bought a new tank at weekend a 30L my new quarantine one so scrapped the old one will use old one as a hossy one only .. but the bloke i bought the tank off had a tank of 100s of young and babies of mollys and guppies mixed lol ..he gave me a bag full to bring home they really doing well

will start transfering them in main slowely also .. maybe moving 3 at a time over the course of a few weeks lol according to size , i have a cple that are big enough already for main tank but some that are too small lol

Anyway as i have said before and many times Thankyou all so much for ur help its been really good advice and has helped me alot

Welome, but remember when the ich falls off, its still in the substrate and that's when the medication can kill it. So some good water changes for a few days, hovering above the substrate and of course, monitor your ammonia and nitrite for another week or two, ensure you filter is correctly cycled, any signs of either of these in the water, then more water changes.

(1 clown loach will be very lonely, now its been saved, it would be a good idea to pop him back to the local fish shop and consider a more suitable stocking for your tank, neons for example could be increased to 20)

he isnt going to be alone i will buy some more soon he seams happy for now i can hear him clicking , while hes eating specially when he has his bloodworms ! first time in a long time i have heard him hes been doing this since weekend , he plays with the sucking loach too , seams happy ! he even oggles the cucumber the sucker chases him off sometimes so he can get some lol and the clown chases him off too lol looks comical

my tank will be mainly for the clown loaches my goal is for 6 clowns,, and a few little ones top feeders that will be it then , then they will have a new bigger tank in about a years time so they will thrive im already saving for a 6 foote one so it might even be less than a year

and yesh were doing daily testing to make sure water is all well , and changing frequent water and gravel sweeping

its on its way ordered one off ebay few days ago just taking its time , ..noone at any of the lfs has any grrrrrrr i went all over
