has anybody used SWEET KNOWLE AQUATICS ?

i know its not ideal, but any one used one lots with no problems? ive found a few but its hard to know if you get a good service etc.

ok while just looking in there for snails a saw somthing move that wasent a snail, only to notice it also looks like i have brineshrimp in there too ? how is this possible?

not sure what species they are tbh, there so small at the mo. most are see through right now. :unsure:

this a good or a bad thing? im cycling my tank, hence havent bought any fish yet, its a planted tank so i guess thats where they have came from. now are they a good thing or a bad thing? for obvious reasons if there going to eat the plants then there not welcome, if there going to do no harm...

Sweet , cheers. was a panic point bought my plants then fount out mite have the wrong light lol. ive got loads of differant ones in there.

to be honest im not sure, its the light that came in my juwel rekord 80 tank.

the light in my tank is fluorescent , will this work well with plants?

yeh fishless cycle. no no ammonia added dident know i had too. only added the water stuff, and interpet filter start.

im puzzled as to why, the juwel thats not had filter start, only stuff to take out the chlorine is showing nitrate at 5.0 , is that a good thing? and yet the tank thats had the filter start is showing nouthing? lol

rite, done a test on both tanks.... the juwel tank, only had water treatment, results: ph:7.6 High ph:7.8 ammonia:0 nitrate:5.0 Nitrite:0 Now the Corner tank had water treatment, and filter start. ph:7.6 High ph:7.4 ammonia:0 Nitate:0 Nitrite:0

nooo lol. rite . the tank with the sand in has its own pump powerd multiple sponge filter, the corner tank with the UG filter has gravel.

dimensions ??? you did that for me the other day ? lol. the juwel is a 80litre :) the corner one you did for me (thanks :) ) and is 55litres.

UnderGravel , the corner one has a undergravel filter :)

ok guys, heres pics of my 2 rather empty looking tanks. this is the juwel rekord 80, finally sussed out the filter and it now has all new and appropriate filters. the light is quite bright but looks alot brighter in te pics . this has just had water treatment, not sure weather to progress with...

yeh bought a api master test kit after reading alot of people recomending them as good kits. i suppose i could look into anouther filter, whats wrong with the UG one by the way? just out of curiosity ? not majorly fussed about a large amount of real plants in this tank, as its my second tank...

afriad not im a newbie haha, i was half way through setting up my juwel tank, but waiting on some stuff, So setup a tank full of used gravel , docor etc. gave it all a proppa good clean today and then set it up . now ive set it up i have no idea where to go now, to be honest i havent even used...

:lol: second tank is setup while i wait for substrate and filters for the juwel, so...... tank has gravel, filter set up etc.... (just need a heater ) :rolleyes: but while its set up , with water, the UG filter etc, what do i do next? i tested the ph levels just to try the kit really...

basicly i need to know what size my tank is, an not sure how to work it out. its a corner tank, that is .. 18" high, the two back side are "16 then two bits to make it almost bow front 4.5" and the front is "16 too. any one able to help ? :blush:

they have been sitting in the corner of my yard ever since we moved in, removed from someone digging over the soil i guess. possibly feel as tho im going to get flamed for askin this lol. heres a pic of um.

hi all. as well as setting up the tank in my living room, im also goin to set one up in my kitchen :rolleyes: while i now understand how the filter works in my juwel rekord 80, im now stumped again, as this tanks filter is differant an i have no idea how it works, what it needs etc. so...

but idealy with other fish too, what can i house these with in my 80L tank? tank will be quite hevily planted with alot of hiding places etc.

in my juwel roekord 80, im looking to have about 6 plants, i am going to use the standerd internal filter. now i keep reading that if you have a planted setup you do not need a air pump installed ? but i keep seeing tanks with them anyway? am i going to need to use the air pump i have? its...

cheers , not sure what you mean with the pump, mine i cannot change the direction the water comes back out at, its solid plastic. also , i have a twin air pump thing so not sure i need extra oxergination ? not sure.

so the green filter i keep, and have a blue one ( that u need to get) below that ? and remove the black one i have ?

how many filters are ment to be in these inbuilt filter things? im about to start setting up my tank, and im not sure. at mo there is a black filter in there, a green one, and a thin white pad thing under the pump. that all i need?

any one ? my tank has a uv light, the juwel filters and filter pump. im planning on useing sand as the substrate, and dont know wether to use real plants or plastic ones tbh.

my tank dimensions are 31" long, 12" deep and 13" high. i was looking at red tailed sharks, and rainbow sharks, but have soon realised my tank is too small :( so what fish would people recomend for this size tank ?

hi, im rob, i live in nottingham uk, i am 20. i have just purchased my first tank , a juwel Rekord 80L hope to get to know a few of you and enjoy setting up my new tank, complete nood on all this so should be intresting ! :rolleyes: or should that be NOOB ! lol
