this a good or a bad thing?

im cycling my tank, hence havent bought any fish yet, its a planted tank so i guess thats where they have came from.

now are they a good thing or a bad thing? for obvious reasons if there going to eat the plants then there not welcome, if there going to do no harm then there welcome to stay i guess.

any advice much appreciated , i did search but dident come up with much.

cheers

Rob :good:

Depends on what species. Some eat plants, some don't. But as long as you don't overfeed your tank they shouldn't become a problem.

Probably bladder snails. And you definitely do not have brine shrimp my friend. I suspect they are copepods. You have plants in there don't you?

In any case, here is an awesome pictoral guide to aquarium critters. It should help you alot
