i bought 25lbs of live sand for 30 dollars it was pre-packaged from fiji and had a shelf life of 3 months in the bag i mixed it with fiji live rock from a trusted pet shop owner where i live and so far my tank is pretty good..i dont have the name of it i threw the bag out but its in aquarium...

if you bought from someone else you should change the media.clean the canister with hot water (no soap!!) and add the new media on the motor take out the propeller in the middle and see if its gooey clean it too and let it dry before u put it back in. i used to have a 403 and its a good filter...

i just bought the coralife 24inch 65 watt 2 bulb light hood it has a 10k and a actnic light..just to let you know it comes with 2 fans and they are too noisy does anyone have something like this and i would like to know if its good for keeping invertabrtes. :)

you can use a 2215 or two 2213 ehiem cannisters for your discus tanks it is a great filter..

get your self a eheim 2213 or 2215 canister you have a 35 gallon so get the 2213..it is a great filter easy to use and its so quiet you dont know its there.it pricey but its worth the money...i bought mine at dr fosterandsmith for 80 dollars, its 100-120 in the store good luck

i got a eheim 2213 in my 20 gallon tank and the water is crystal clear the filter is so quite u dont know its even there i paid 80 for at at dr fosters and smiths website its expensive but its worth it

i just bought this and im not too happy with it i have connected to the 2213 and it causes my filter too make too much noise if anyone knows how this thing works properly (because eheims instructions are kinda of useless) i would love to hear about it..maybe you should wait until a few people...
